Katy Perry has confirmed that she plans to stick with her crop up sound on her future albums.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' isaac Merrit Singer admitted that she is reluctant to jeopardise her success by taking risks with her style of music.
"I love pop music. I've been around kids that hatred selling records and revel being the starving creative person," Perry explained. "But I want to play stadiums. I want to sell records. I want to be a pop girl!"
Perry's first experience in the music industry came when she recorded an album of Christian gospel songs in 2001. Despite her controversial lyrics and happy-go-lucky nature, she has insisted that she has not lost tint with her faith.
"I'm non ashamed of it," she said. "Everyone's looking for me to be, 'Well, I'm so ashamed of it and that's why I kissed a missy!' No way! I still have 'Jesus' tattooed on my wrist. And I still have religion and a foundation of my own."
'I Kissed A Girl' topped the UK singles graph last weekend.
